I spent lots of time searching for the best baby sleep consultant in Sydney when my bub was 4 months of age. The 4 months regression was hard but I went through it. Until when bub’s 10 months of age and daylight saving hit…. fully awake at 4 am everyday….. we just can’t deal with it.
As my usual research approach, I normally read pages, I mean PAGES of reviews before I reach out.
Of course, I had my doubts how come there’s no single negative review? I have never come across this! Too good to be true. I read each of the review comments very carefully to make sure they are not written in poor grammar / bad structure. I found all of them are very detailed comments and written in good English (that indicates it’s not one of those paid comments by a cheap Asian country).
Before I paid, I also searched the ABN on the Australian Government Website to make sure it was a legit business and Jen was a certified baby sleep consultant.
Anyway, I know many have already said that they regretted not approaching Jen sooner to sleeptrain their bub. I am part of the crew now!
My story…. before approaching Jen, (as I mentioned my bub wakes up at 4 am every day), we tried the Ferber Method at home ourselves as our friends had successfully trained their twins for it. We checked in with bub every 3 minutes, 5 mins, and 10 mins and he just kept crying, and later on screamed, for a good 3.5 hours to the point, his voice was shaking. We thought it was all part of the process and especially we checked up on him every few minutes.
We tried it for 2 days, and he screamed at morning nap, afternoon nap, and night time, each for 3 hours +. so totally he cried for 9 hours + out of 24 hours. He was absolutely traumatised. To the extent that he would cry even if we brought him close to his bedroom door… He would scream if we turned off the light, and if my hubby or myself left the room.
It was the worst feeling to be honest, thinking we were trying to do the right thing to sleep train our bub but instead, we traumatised him… and that’s when I approached Jen!
We opted for the Remote Program. From the beginning, Jen’s extremely informative. She is super supportive, reassuring, and patient as a baby sleep consultant, guiding us through the whole journey. Her instructions were very clear and direct and she would adjust based on bub’s situation. and now bub’s sleeping through the night in just 2 weeks. I would never thought we could accomplish this so quickly (especially after we severely traumatised him)
Seriously we could not thank Jen enough. We could not have done this without her! Sleep train is important, I highly recommend leaving it to the best baby sleep consultant if you are struggling.
