I am a 30 year old Aussie bloke who works long hours in the commercial world.
My Wife and I became first time parents in July 2021 during the Covid pandemic lockdown in Sydney. With no support we had to rely on our own research and instincts to raise our baby girl. We tried various sleep program for babies but to no avail.
While my daughter would sleep well through the night (6-8 hours) she had a lot of trouble falling asleep for her daytime naps and to get her to sleep at night time would be a 2-3 hour process which included a lot of ‘false starts’ – rocking her in our arms for 10-30 minutes, putting her down and she would either wake up as soon as we put her down or 10 minutes later.
This was exhausting and stressful as I couldn’t help my Wife during the daytime and when I finished work it was straight into the horrendous bedtime routine.
We needed help!
My wife arranged for Jen to guide us through a proven sleep schedule and routine over the course of a week or so. With Jen’s sleep program for babies, our daughter adapted to the routine very quickly and by the end of the program was falling asleep like a champ for all of her daytime naps and night time sleep, usually without any fuss at all!
Now we are all getting a lot of restorative sleep, time for our hobbies and our cute little nap/sleep routine is one of my favourite family activities!
